I. Characteristics and Structure of Tubular Coolers
The tubular cooler is a device used for cooling fluids, capable of reducing high-temperature fluids to temperatures below a controllable level. Its main feature is that it can achieve a large flow rate and large pressure difference cooling effect, and is suitable for harsh working environments such as high temperature, high pressure and corrosion. Its main component is a 'tube bundle' composed of multiple groups of tubes, where the fluid inside the tube bundle and the external medium conduct heat transfer. Under normal circumstances, the tubular cooler uses water or air as the external medium and achieves the cooling effect by transferring heat through the tube walls.
Ii. Working Principle of Tubular Cooler
The working principle of the tubular cooler is to utilize the heat transfer capacity of the tubes. The high-temperature fluid flows through the inside of the tubes and exchanges heat with the water or air outside the tubes, transferring the heat to the external medium. The external medium absorbs heat through the pipe wall around the pipe, increasing its thermal energy and thereby achieving the cooling of the fluid. Specifically, the working process of the tubular cooler is as follows:
1. The fluid enters the interior of the pipe and flows, dissipating heat outward through the pipe walls.
2. The external medium (water or air) absorbs heat through the pipe wall around the pipe.
The external medium that absorbs heat, after being cooled, re-enters the equipment to carry out the next round of heat transfer work.
Iii. Application Fields of Tubular Coolers
Tubular coolers are widely used in industries such as chemical engineering, energy, metallurgy, and power. For instance, it can be used to cool high-temperature media, with a controllable temperature range of over 1000℃. It can also be used in coastal and damp environments. Made of stainless steel, it has excellent anti-corrosion performance. In the power industry, tubular coolers can be used to directly cool the oil and cable encapsulation of transformers.
In conclusion, the tubular cooler is an efficient and reliable cooling device, widely used in various fields. Cooling high-temperature fluids through heat exchange reduces energy consumption and promotes the development of industrial production.
